Brazil Vs. US and It's NOT a Joke!

15399

I recently came across something two important facts: First, the US has a National Football Team (yes I refuse to call it soccer). Second, they are playing the Brazilian National Team tomorrow in Chicago.

I am not a big sports fan, not a sports fan at all really. But I certainly know that the stakes are higher for Brazil than they are for the US. ‘Sporty’ reasons set aside, Brazil-like the rest of the world-actually cares about football. Americans, on the other hand, are probably rooting for the game because it’s being hosted in Chicago (a very beautiful city with lots to do and there just happens to be a football match going on).

I have to give it to American ‘internationalism’ they form a national team for a game they refuse to refer to as the rest of the world does, and then they play against one of the world’s forefront soccer teams. I am guessing if Brazil doesn’t win, the results will have more to do with
“loans and interests,” more so than the game itself!
